It is ironic that with technology improving in practically every sector, including medicine, more and more people are leaning towards nature and her treatments. Natural health approaches are often seen in various methods like foot reflexology, massage treatments, yoga, acupuncture, meditation and even aromatherapy. Natural approaches to health ailments are gaining in popularity as people take their personal health more seriously. Such concerns cause them to revert back to proven age-old remedies, preferring those to the newer solutions.

Natural health practices include the principle of consuming only organic foods, cleansing the physical body with nature-based products like herbs, maintaining a balanced lifestyle (Everything In Moderation) and channeling the energies through meditation and yoga.

One of the most common features of natural health remedies is the presence of natural products. This is especially obvious anything to be consumed as this approach to medicine believes that physical ailments are a manifestation of unclean or unnatural food and drink ingested into the body. Such natural products in foods can be seen in:

- Herbal teas.

Very prominent in natural health practices, these teas range from normal herbal tea to flavored ones like chamomile, lavender, cinnamon, ginger and even spiced. Different teas are consumed for different reasons – lavender-flavored tea, for instance, is for relaxation while chamomile is for healing. Traditional herbal teas are effective for cleansing the body of impurities and recommended to be consumed on a regular basis for regular detoxification.

- Natural ingredients.

Olive oil is a well-known natural health complement to regular food fare, as are fruits, oats, sesame seeds, walnuts, flaxseeds and sunflower seeds.

- Energy foods.

Most physical discomfort is said to be caused by a loss or imbalance of the body’s energies and as such, need to be replenished. Common energy foods are citrus fruits rich in Vitamin C, beans, trail mix consisting your favorite nuts and seeds, dark honey and berry juice like grape, blueberry and pomegranate.
